The Soo Greyhounds have a pair of games this week as the January portion of their OHL schedule comes to an end. The Hounds return to action Wednesday night as they host the Plymouth Whalers. Game time at Memorial Gardens is 7:00 p.m.  It will be Plymouth's final regular season visit to Memorial Gardens. The Whalers are second in the West Division and fifth in the Western Conference with 55 points, 1 behind the Sarnia Sting.

On Friday evening, the Soo Greyhounds visit their northern rivals, the Sudbury Wolves. Game time at the Sudbury arena is 7:30 p.m. It will be the fourth meeting of the season between the clubs. The Wolves have won 2 of the first 3 games.  Sudbury is also battling for a playoff spot. The Wolves are 8th in the East with 41 points.

The Greyhounds enter play this week with a record of 21 wins, 26 losses (1 in overtime) and 3 ties. They have 46 points and are third in the West Division and 8th in the Western Conference, 1 point ahead of Windsor.  Jeff Carter and Scott Dobben share the team scoring lead with 49 points each.  Carter will be participating in the OHL All-Star game which takes place Tuesday night in Peterborough.
