Millen, Nichols combine for 50 saves in Hounds pre-season defeat


After a scoreless opening period, the Saginaw Spirit built up a 3-0 lead on Saturday NIght before 3rd-year forward DYLAN STAPLES scored the Hounds lone goal of the game.

The West division rivals combined for 88 shots on goal, as the Hounds dropped the contest by a 5-1 score.

Next exhibition play for the locals goes this coming Friday, September 14th when they travel to Sudbury to take on the Wolves.

The Hounds will round out their pre-season schedule on home ice one day later, Saturday, September 15th in a rematch versus the Spirit.  Opening face-off goes at 7:07 p.m. and tickets can be purchased at the Essar Centre Box Office.
